Keeping Your Blood On the Move

Aorta disease is a condition of the aorta, or largest artery in the body that blood flows in and out of. The disease can cause the aorta to rupture and have fatal results. There are several conditions that can contribute to aorta disease, including high blood pressure, atherosclerosis (hardening of arteries), genetic conditions, injury or connective tissue disorders. Anyone with this disease should seek medical attention immediately. Surgery is a common treatment.
